The Ottawa Jr. Senators of the CCHL recently acknowledged milestones achieved by Ethan Mulhearn, who hails from Williamstown.
The 19-year-old forward has played in 53 games with the Sens this season, notching 17 goals and 24 assists, along with 70 penalty minutes.
His junior ‘A’ hockey career began in the 2015-16 season, where he skated in three games for the CCHL Cornwall Colts. Much of that winter was played with the U18 Colts. Mulhearn went on to play three full seasons with the CCHL Colts.
The Senators are currently in third place in the Yzerman Division, with a record of 27-24-2-0. Mulhearn leads his team in points (41), is tied for first in assists (24), and is third in goals scored (17).
A select team of junior ‘A’ all-stars will tangle with the NCAA University of Massachusetts Lowell hockey in an exhibition game scheduled for December 29, in Lowell, Mass.
The lone local player names to the CCHL squad is Ethan Mulhearn of Williamstown. He’s playing this season with the Ottawa Jr. Senators. The 19-year-old forward has notched 30 points in 37 games thus far this season.
Earlier this month, Williamstown’s Ethan Mulhearn, a member of the CCHL Ottawa Junior Senators, was profiled on the team’s website as a skater who has earned “a reputation as a tough, hard-working player who was solid at both ends of the ice.”
The 19-year-old product of the Eastern Ontario Wild ‘AAA’ system and the U18 Colts went on to play three seasons with the CCHL Cornwall Colts, recording 93 points in 189 games (regular-season and playoffs).
During the 2018-19 season, Mulhearn was invited to participate in the Eastern Canada Cup, skating for the CCHL Team Yzerman in three games.
So far this fall with the Senators, the 5 ft. 10 in., 161 lb. forward is scoring at roughly a point-a-game pace, with 7 goals, 17 assists, and 34 penalty minutes, in 25 games.
