Jr. ‘B’ Glens announce new scout

The Alexandria Glens of the CCHL2 have a new head scout, as Yves Choquette has been named to the post previously held by Denis Verville.

Glens president Derick Viau tells me that Choquette “brings a lot of experience, having worked with Kirkland Lake as an independent scout for many years. He has passion for the game and strong knowledge of the skills players need today to perform, develop. and progress to the next level.”

Alumni game

In other team news, the Glens are looking for Glens alumni aged 30 and over to be part of this year’s Glens alumni game. Interested individuals are asked to contact Marc Sauve via e-mail at msauve@alexmo.com

Billet families needed

Families interested in hosting out-of-town players during the season are invited to contact the Glens, as the team is looking for billet families.

Training camp and season schedule

The Glens 2019 training camp is set to open in Alexandria on August 24. Players are asked to pre-register online here.

Regular-season action is booked to start on the road September 17, when the Glens will play the Ottawa Jr. Canadians. Alexandria’s home opener, at the Glengarry Sports Palace, is scheduled for September 20, with the Carleton Place Canadians providing the opposition.
