Three-game stretch for Rebs starts Saturday

Char-Lan’s junior ‘B’ Rebels will skate on home ice Saturday night, hosting the Martin Division-leading Ottawa West Golden Knights (32-6-1-1) at 8 p.m.

The action begins three games in four nights, as the team will play on the road Monday night against the Richmond Royals (14-19-3-1) and then back on home ice Tuesday night (at 8:15 p.m.) versus the Alexandria Glens (7-27-2-1).

It was an early start to this week for the team, with the boys playing Tuesday night against the Ottawa Jr. Canadians, who prevailed 10-3.

Alexandre Elie was named the game’s third star, after recording a goal and an assist.

Noah Konink and Joseph Samson notched the other Char-Lan tallies. Assists went to Paul Waldhauser, Liam MacDonald, Rylan Iwachniuk, and Hunter MacPherson.

Summy Mughal and Ceili Picard shared the goaltending duties, combining for 18 saves.

The Rebels currently have a record of 16-19-1-2 and hold sixth spot in the division, three points ahead of the Royals.
