Prior to the Saturday, February 22 CCHL2 hockey game at the Char-Lan Rec. Centre in Williamstown, there will be a pair of high school contests, as the Rebels host teams from Char-Lan DHS and Holy Trinity CSS.
The girls game featuring the Falcons and Crusaders will start at 5 p.m. Holy Trinity completed the SDGAA league regular season in third place, with 8 games played and a record of 4 wins, 3 losses, and 1 tie, while Char-Lan ended up fourth, having played 10 games and a record of 2-7-1.
At 6 p.m., the boys will take over the ice. Char-Lan completed the regular season in second place, percentage points out of top spot, with 10 games played and a record of 8-1-1. Holy Trinity finished fourth, with 9 games played on a record of 2-7-0.
These exhibition games in Williamstown will serve as a showcase of the calibre of local high school hockey, as well as a tune-up for playoff action, as the teams are all set to skate in the SDGAA playoff tournaments, slated for early March.
