Rebels complete season-sweep of Glens

On Saturday night in Williamstown, the Char-Lan Rebels skated to a 4-3 CCHL2 win over the Alexandria Glens, completing the four-game season sweep of their county cousins.

Liam MacDonald, who hails from Dunvegan, was named the game’s first star. The Rebel scored three of his team’s goals and assisted on the other.

The 20-year-old forward has scored at a point-a-game pace this season.

Char-Lan’s other goal was netted by Paul Waldhauser, while picking up the other assists were Parker Tallman (3), Isaac Testani (2), and Alexandre Elie.

Ceili Picard backstopped the victory with 21 saves.

Glens goaltender Tyler Desjardins, with 18 saves, took the loss. Alexandria’s goals were netted by Nico Pozzebon, Nicolas Corry, and Graham Robertson, with Ryan Leonard picking up the only assist.
