The Char-Lan junior ‘B’ Rebels suffered a 4-2 defeat in Casselman Thursday night.
Alexandre Elie and Joseph Samson had the goals for the Rebs who trailed this one from the 17:13 point of the first period on.
Dillon Spinner assisted on both tallies and earned third-star honours.
Griffin Patterson also picked up a helper on the Elie marker.
Goaltender Summy Mughal made 28 saves in the loss, while Casselman netminder Nicholas Campbell saw 34 pucks directed his way.
Char-Lan went one for eight on the power play, while the Vikings scored twice on four man-advantage opportunities.
Next action for the Rebels (14-16-1-1) is set for Saturday night on home ice in Williamstown, with the Brockville Tikis (16-16-1-2) providing the opposition. Opening puck drop is booked for 8 p.m.
January 25 will also be Char-Lan’s second try at hosting its Kent McDonell recognition night. The club has a pre-game ceremony planned to honour the former professional hockey player who hails from Williamstown.
