Both the Cornwall Prowlers and Maxville Millionaires of the EOSHL made roster moves this week, leading up to the January 10 trade deadline.
Millionaires general manager Gerald Goulet signed forward Brock Crossthwaite, picked up from West Carleton in exchange for future considerations. Maxville also got a 2020 third-round draft pick from the deal.
The former goaltender who hails from Kanata had 3 points in 8 games with the Rivermen. The 25-year-old stands at 6 ft. 4 in. and weighs 192 lb.
Meanwhile, Cornwall GM/coach Mitch Gagne re-signed forward Kenny Neil, who had suited up previously for Maxville, collecting 7 points in 5 games. He was released by the team in December. Neil previously played for the Prowlers last season, when the team was part of the LHSAO, notching 16 points in 10 games.
Former NCAA Division 1 player Brandon Watt, who had previously been picked up in a deal with Maxville for Brandon Gilmour, has recovered from his upper-body injury and is scheduled to dress for the Prowlers’ next game, on January 19.
The Millionaires are booked to play twice this weekend, on the road Friday night to tangle with West Carleton, and travelling to Deseronton for a Saturday evening tilt.
