Hockey fans have a number of options for their viewing pleasure over the coming days, starting with Thursday, November 14 at the Cornwall Civic Complex, where the CCHL Colts will host the Kanata Lasers at 7:30 p.m.
There are two opportunities to catch the CCHL Hawkesbury Hawks on home ice this weekend at the Robert Hartley Sports Complex. Friday night will see the Pembroke Lumber Kings visit, while Saturday evening the opposition will be the Ottawa Junior Senators. Both are 7:30 p.m. starts.
In CCHL2 junior ‘B’ hockey action, the lone game scheduled for county ice is booked for Saturday, November 16 in Williamstown, where the Char-Lan Rebels will host the Arnprior Packers at 8 p.m.
The Alexandria Glens don’t have a home game this weekend.
As well, the EOSHL has no games scheduled this weekend.
On Saturday, Hawkesbury’s Robert Hartley Sports Complex will host several HEO U18 ‘AAA’ hockey games, with start times set for 11 a.m., and 1, 3, and 5 p.m. The latter will feature the Hawks taking on Kanata. Hawkesbury’s team includes the county’s own Todd McBain, a forward who hails from Maxville.
Sunday, November 17 at 2 p.m., the Glengarry Sports Palace in Alexandria will host the Eastern Ontario Wild ‘AAA’ major bantam hockey team and the Upper Canada Cyclones. The Wild currently top the league with a record of 7 wins, 1 loss, and 3 ties. The team includes county boys Ethan Montroy, from Glen Walter, and Marc-Olivier McCarthy, from Glen Robertson.
