With losses Friday Saturday night, the Alexandria Glens losing streak now stands at four games. In fact, the team has just one win this month in seven outings.
The team’s most recent defeat came Saturday night on the road versus the Whitewater Kings, a 3-2 loss. Nico Pozzebon and Zachary Bigras (on a penalty shot) had the goals for the Glens, while Kolten Oakes-Cook and Andy Lightle-Blais chalked up assists.
Henri Creighton took the loss in the hemp hut, despite a 32-save effort.
On Friday night at the Glengarry Sports Palace, Kyle Joly put the Glens in front in the first period, assisted by Lightle-Blais and Oakes-Cook, but that was it for the Alexandria offence, as the Ottawa Golden Knights took control for the next two periods, scoring four unanswered, to deal the Glens a 4-1 loss. Goaltender Danik Martin faced 41 shots.
The boys have one more game remaining this month, scheduled to play November 29 in Embrun. Note, there is no home game this weekend. Next game in Alexandria is slated for December 6.
