Char-Lan District High School boys hockey team coach Sean O’Farrell has announced the final roster of his squad that will compete in the 2019-20 SDGAA league season, which is scheduled to begin play this week.
The Crusaders’ goaltender will be grade 11 student-athlete Hunter Mader. Defencemen are set to be Owen Robertson (11), Cale McKenzie (12), Thomas Pasco (10), Duncan McRae (12), Aidon Leroux (12), and Jack MacLachlan (12).
Up front the team is slated to include Tristan McDougall (12), Seamus O’Connell (11), Danny Flaro (11), Roan MacClennan (11), Donovan Francis (11), Jack Vandrish (9), Andrew Dixon (12), Jack Cayer (12), Hunter Latreille (9), Chad Watson (9), Curtis St Onge (11), Cole MacCrimmon, Nat Faubert, and Nick Oeggerli.
The puck had been slated to drop on the new high school boys hockey season Wednesday but that has been nixed by the planned provincial strike by teachers unions. As such, the league convenor tells me that he is working to reschedule games for Thursday.
