Rough road ride for Alexandria’s junior B hockey team

It was a tough night in Westport for the CCHL2 Alexandria Glens on Saturday, as the boys got hammered by the Rideaus 11-2.

Goaltender Danik Martin faced a barrage of rubber, 56 shots in all.

Following an opening period that saw the teams skate to the intermission tied 1-1, the blades fell off in the second stanza for the Glens, with Westport pounding in seven goals to seal Alexandria’s fate and deal the boys their seventh regulation time loss of the season.
