Millionaires come up a few dollars short against Prowlers

In their senior ‘A’ hockey debut Sunday evening in Cornwall, the Maxville Millionaires were felled 9-6 by the Prowlers, as goaltender Bryce Luker faced a barrage of rubber, 53 shots in all.

Offensive bright spots for the Millionaires included four-point performances by Brandon Watt and Ken Neil, each with 1 goal and 3 assists. Steve Adams contributed three points (1 G, 2 A), and Jacob Swamp had two points (1 G, 1 A). Other point-getters were Tye Terrance (1 G), Mark Pearl (1 G), Reid Lepine (1 A), and Bruce Best (1 A).

Cornwall’s goaltender, Frederic Roy, made 34 saves for the win, as the Prowlers improved to 1-1 on the young season.

Prowlers goals were netted by Mitchell Gibson (3), Marc Andre Labelle (2), Brandon Gilmour, Jesse Fontaine, Jeff Clarke, and Devon Burns. Assists went to Gabriel Veilleux (3), Adam Wensink (3), Gilmour (2), Storm Adams (2), Labelle, Fontaine, Brian Landry, Kieran Devine, Bobby Cormier, James Kirkwood, and Chris Rutley.
