The lone high school football game this week will take place at Cornwall’s Joe St. Denis Field under the lights Wednesday night, as Catholic rivals Holy Trinity and St. Joseph’s collide in the annual Charity Game.
The Falcons enter the contest sporting a 2-0 record. In fact, Holy Trinity has yet to allow any opposition scoring, whilst collectively putting up 48 points against the CCVS Raiders (0-1) and the Glengarry Gaels (1-1). The Panthers (1-0) also haven’t been scored against, having trounced La Citadelle in their only game thus far, 41-0.
The Charity Bowl is a fundraiser for the Good Samaritan Trust Fund. Admission is $2. Kickoff to the October 2 gridiron contest is set for 6 p.m.
