Glens, Rebs suffer Friday night CCHL2 losses

In Friday night CCHL2 action, the county’s junior ‘B’ hockey clubs both suffered road losses, though in the case of the Glens they salvaged a point as the defeat came in overtime.

The squad from Alexandria skated to a 2-1 loss in Perth, falling 3:24 into the extra session. The lone Glens tally was netted by Nico Pozzebon, assisted by Alexim Veilleux. Nicholas Rousseau took the loss in net, despite making 43 saves.

The Char-Lan Rebels lost last night in Westport, falling 6-4 to the Rideaus. Char-Lan goal scorers were Evan Huntley 2, Joseph Samson, and Wade Moak. Liam MacDonald had three assists. Samson earned two, while Kale MacCormick had one. Dawson Irving, facing 34 shots on goal, took the loss in net.
