A night after salvaging a point in an overtime road loss, the Alexandria Glens fell short on home ice, dropping a 4-3 decision to the Richmond Royals last Saturday night at the Glengarry Sports Palace.
Brendon Watson and Kolten Oaks-Cook each scored their respective first Glens goals, but it wasn’t enough to pace their squad to victory. The other Alexandria tally was netted by Nico Pozzebon.
Earning assists were Austin Ladouceur, Pozzebon, Austin Gaspar, Watson, and Alexim Veilleux.
Nicholas Rousseau faced 33 shots on goal in the loss between the pipes.
Friday night saw the Glens drop a 2-1 OT decision in Perth.
Entering play this week, the team sits last in the Martin Division, with a record of 1 win, 5 regulation losses, and 1 overtime loss. To make matters worse, the teams above Alexandria in the standings all have games in hand.
Next up will be one of those squads that the Glens are chasing, county rival Char-Lan (3-3). The Rebels are scheduled to visit the Palace on Friday, October 11, for an 8 p.m. puck drop.
