Last winter, as an alternate captain, Thomson played in 24 games, notching 19 points. This year, she’s be named captain of the Lady 67’s.
In July at the Boston Beantown tournament, the Lady 67’s went as far as the final before bowing out to Team Nova Scotia, an elite provincial squad, in overtime.
Over the Labour Day weekend, the Ottawa squad beat a top-ranked USA team, the Bay Street Breakers, who hadn’t lost in 34 games.
More recently, the Lady 67’s competed in a 64-team tourney, the Stoney Creek University Showcase, going five and 0, before dropping the silver final in a shootout.
Noteworthy amongst the staff, Guy Boucher is an assistant coach this season.
