Jeremy Quesnel, of Alexandria, has flown north to Hawkesbury for the 2019-20 hockey season, having been traded during the summer from the Cornwall Colts to the Hawks.
The 2019 graduate of le Relais who was honoured in August as one of the Glengarry Sports Hall of Fame high school athletes of the year played more than 100 career games with the Colts over the previous two seasons, after graduating from their U18 squad. That season (2016-17), he recorded 39 points in 45 regular-season games.
The Hawks play in the CCHL and are 1-1 thus far. Quesnel has dressed for both contests but has yet to notch a point. Against his former team, the Colts, he did register a penalty, though.
Next action for the team is this weekend, with three games on tap at the league showcase in Ottawa, starting tonight, September 13.
