Austin Gaspar potted the game-winner, 1:11 into the extra session, assisted by Nico Pozzebon and Nicolas Rousseau, the team’s goaltender, who made 36 saves in over 61 minutes of work between the pipes.
Scoring earlier for Alexandria were Jacob Lefebvre and Pozzebon, both whilst the Glens were short-handed. Pozzebon assisted on the former, while Alexim Veilleux picked the apple on the latter.
With the OT win, Alexandria’s record improves to 1-4.
The victory came a night after the squad dropped a 6-4 decision to the Brockville Tikis, at the Palace. Tyson Allard scored twice for the Glens, with the other goals netted by A. Veilleux and Trystan Veilleux. Assisting were Lefebvre, Andy Lightle-Blais, Elijah Boisvert, Zenin Biron, Brendon Watson (his first point with Alexandria), Nicolas Ouellette, Zachary Bigras, and Kolten Oakes-Cook.
Rousseau faced 40 shots, while Alexandria snipers fired 39 pucks on the Brockville goal.
