For the 2019-20 season, Alexandria native Felix Sauve has joined the junior ‘A’ Hawkesbury Hawks of the CCHL. Last season, the teen played with the organization’s U18 squad, recording 35 points in 44 regular-season games. He added 4 points in 9 playoff games.
The 2018-19 campaign also saw Sauve skate with the CCHL2 Glens in 7 regular-season games and 2 playoff matches, counting 3 assists.
So far this year, he’s suited up twice with the junior ‘A’ Hawks, yet to register a point. The 17-year-old is one of two Alexandria residents on the team. The other is Jeremy Quesnel, who I previously profiled in this post.
Next game for the Hawks is set for Thursday, September 19 in Cornwall, where the boys will take on the Colts at 7:30 p.m. Cornwall’s junior ‘A’ squad, which typically features a raft of county content appears light on Glengarrians this year, with, at last check, Apple Hill’s John Richer being the only representative.
McBain with U18 Hawks
Todd McBain, of Maxville, is in the Hawks system, skating in his second season with the U18 squad. The 16-year-old forward has already recorded 4 points in 6 games.
