Alexandria’s Ben Lowe key in Gaiters golf success

Ben Lowe, a second-year student-athlete at Bishop’s University in Lennoxville, Quebec, placed fourth, with rounds of 73, 72, 74 at his school’s invitational golf tournament, helping to pace the Gaiters to a second-place finish, in the first RSEQ tournament of the year, at Milby Golf Club.

The graduate of Glengarry District High School who won the Glengarry Golf Club championship in August says he enjoyed his first university tournament of the season, describing the August 28-29 event in Sherbrooke as a fun one. Lowe’s score of 219 was just one stroke behind teammate Anthony Gosselin. Baptiste Mory, of Laval, won with 215.

In other statistical categories, Lowe tied for second in birdies (13) and second in the par 3 leaderboard (6 pars, 3 birdies).
