Team Atlantic claims ball hockey title

The Atlantic team won the 2019 ‘A’ championship of the Alexandria Ladies Ball Hockey League last Thursday, prevailing in the third game of the best-of-three championship series over Team Molson.

The teams exchanged results in the earlier action, with Atlantic winning the opener 4-3 in o overtime, before Molson took the second contest 2-0.

The decider, on August 8 at the Glengarry Sports Palace, saw Atlantic turn the tables, triumphing 2-0. Chelsea Cayer had the game-winner, assisted by Catherine Glaude and Tammy MacSweyn. Brittany MacLennan iced it with an empty-netter, set up by Cayer.
