Alexandria’s Ben Lowe, a graduate of Glengarry District High School and current student athlete at Bishop’s University, recently competed in the OVGA Men’s City and District golf tournament, tying for fourth place.
The teen says the three-day event took place on courses at Eagle Creek, eQuinelle, and Camelot – “all fantastic courses. It was one of my best finishes as well.” Lowe shot rounds of 73, 74 and 77. “The final day was a tad disappointing just since I started the round off so well and kind of stumbled a bit finishing it off. But it was still a great tournament and learning experience.”
Ottawa’s Ryan Sevigny won with a final score of 212, ahead of runner-up Mark Coldham (217), also of Ottawa. Manotick’s Marc Lavimodiere (222) was third. Jimmy Jozwiak, of Stittsville, shot 224, to tie Lowe.
