Glengarry County will again host a trio of competitive distance runs this year, starting with the Great Raisin River Footrace, August in Williamstown. The 41st annual event, held on the Sunday of Williamstown Fair weekend, starts at and finishes from the Sir John Johnson Manor House. This year, the Aug. 11 Footrace will support The Hub for the Beyond 21 Foundation. Distances available are 11 km and 5 km along a scenic, flat country road.

On Saturday, Sept. 28, Alexandria will host the CommUNITY Run in support of Community Living Glengarry. This fourth edition offers 1 km, 5 km, and 10 km courses on in-town streets.

Capping off the season will be the 5th Annual Chilly Willy, offering 5 km, 10 km, and half marathon runs, on Saturday, Nov. 2, in Williamstown. The Sir John Johnson Manor House serves as the start and finish area.
